An image entered into the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers (SWPP) monthly International Image competition for June 2012 has been awarded a prestigious Gold Award. This was particularly important to me as although I have won several Gold’s before as well as Silver’s before, as a previous award winning wedding photographer, the judging process has become that much more rigorous so that only the very best International images get awarded a Gold. Well over a thousand images get enetered into the various categories and in June a total of only 8 Gold’s were given to wedding images to see them and all the other category Gold’s click here.
I thought it would be fun to show the final image after my post production and then how it looked straight out of camera as an unprocessed RAW file , the image was taken at a April 2012 Notley Abbey Wedding of Kelly & Daniel and the technical details for those interested are:
- Camera: Canon EOS 5D MKII
- Lens: EF 70-200 F2.8L IS MKII USM at 200mm
- 1/500th sec at f5.6 (cetre weighted in camera metering), manual exposure
- ISO 400
- Post production in Lightroom 4, CS5 and NIK filters
