Winter weddings can be an absolute joy to shoot; crisp clear days, beautiful soft light, twinkling frost, and this was never more true than with Anna and Steve’s Great Fosters wedding in Egham, Surrey.
Great Fosters provided the perfect backdrop for the couple’s winter wonderland wedding, magical white trees adorned the aisle for the ceremony, whilst the reception was made to feel warm and cosy with candles, roaring fires, delicate fairy lights and hints of a rich red throughout.
Anna’s dress was designed and made by Belinda Chorley from Beyond Burlesque, a completely individual and one of a kind, her beautiful gown fitted completely with the feel of their romantic Great Fosters wedding. The bridesmaids wore red, to complement the red wedding theme, whilst the groomsmen looked ever so dapper in blue fitted suits, and not to mention Steve’s son who made a very handsome ring bearer!
Music is very important to both Anna and Steve and played a big part in their winter wedding. Their invitations, table plan and place names all took on a musical theme, they thought long a hard about their first dance song, settling on Baby I’m Yours, performed acoustically by their live band The Indie Killers. Anna and Steve gave out personalised fudge and mini Jägermeister’s as favours.
Anna’s favourite moment of the day was walking up the beautiful aisle at Great Fosters to Wonderwall, a special song for the couple picked by Steve, and as she puts it ‘absolutely beaming with my proud father’… a stunning moment that will most definitely go in the wedding album!
Great Fosters really did provide the perfect backdrop for Anna and Steve, we were able to capture some fantastic shots of the couple in the grounds, relaxed and enjoying their day in the fantastic crisp lighting possible at a winter wedding.
