What an exciting couple of weeks I have had, I planned to propose to my lovely girlfriend Elaine of 3 years (don’t you think she looks a bit like Angelina Jolie, everyone says so??). The whole thing was going to be done in a romantic way in the hot air balloon flight that I had booked as a birthday present last year for her that has been postponed due to weather several times. If I am honest I was terrified of her being over excited and dropping the lovely platinum, diamond & Tanzanite ring I had commissioned, to be designed and made for her, over the side of the balloon 5,000 feet in the air!!!!!!!. True to form the weather was against me again and the flight was cancelled. Luckily enough I had a back up plan and we were booked into The Crazy Bear for a lovely Thai meal to celebrate our 3 years together. Suffice to say that she said YES (hurrah!!!!) and so we are now starting to tread the familiar route of thinking about dates and wedding venues. As Elaine runs a well known designer wedding dress shop she shouldn’t have any problems knowing which designers she wants to visit for the “perfect dress” and of course we now have the nice problem of finding a wedding photographer as obviously it’s going to be difficult for me to shoot my own wedding!!!!. A huge thanks to Peter and the team at Bradley’s jewellers in Beaconsfield for helping me with the engagement ring commission. Nula you were a superstar!!! and finally thanks to Lainey for saying yes and making me a very happy man…….
