Paul arrived with the boys and we had a look round the gorgeous Manor house, idyllic with a cricket pitch at the bottom of the driveway beyond some huge iron gates, very English and lovely. Once Jane arrived fresh from her hen weekend we walked around the spacious grounds and then got into the swing of getting some lovely fun portrait images of the family. As usual we did lots of lying down on the ground looking at interesting angles and running towards the camera. There are some amazing cottage gardens there and we took the opportunity to get some lovely shots in amongst the flowers before dress rehearsing the “Reservoir Dogs” walking/running shot I like to do with the groom and the guys before the ceremony. The boys looked suitably menacing complete with mock scowls and sunglasses!!.
If the weather is anything like it was that day we will have a cracking day and thankfully for once I have a ceremony room to shoot which has lots of natural light and big windows. I love using natural light as much as possible in my wedding photography it adds so much more mood to the shots.
