Wedding of Carolyn & David, St Mary's Church, Witney, 14th May 2011 | Wedding Photographer Oxfordshire

Due to unforeseen circumstances which are actually very sad (but which I won’t go into detail about here), the wedding of David & Carolyn was brought forward by 12 months meaning the couple has a crazy amount of organising to do in a very short space of time. Carolyn had to find her dream wedding dress, they had to book venues, flowers, photographer (me!), cars and all the other wedding things a couple have to plan in literally a few weeks….a challenge but one they definitely rose to. As we didn’t have the time to do a pre-wedding shoot it was actually the first time I had photographed the couple but the benefit is that they get a chance to do a post-wedding shoot instead!

The wedding was lovely and the post-wedding reception was in David’s parents garden where they had a beautifully decorated marquee with lots of personal touches………..a very personal but very lovely wedding with some close friends and family. These are some of my faves from the day.

On the fence about booking a pre-wedding or engagement shoot? I’ve met so many couples who tell me how much they hate having their photos taken, how uncomfortable they feel in front of the camera, and how they’re never happy with how they look in photos. And I get it...
