Back in April I shot the wedding of Jen & Mark Vaughan at one of my favourite places to work (and as an added bonus it is only a few minutes drive from my home in Oxfordshire!), the gorgeous Le Manoir aux Quat’saisons in Great Milton, Oxfordshire. Any foodies out there will be very familiar with this Michelin starred restaurant owned by Raymond Blanc. This wedding was bit more unusual to many I shoot as the ceremony was at 5pm meaning we actually did all the signature shots in the beautiful gardens earlier in the afternoon. Obviously I was terrified of Jen getting the dress dirty before the ceremony but I had no need to worry!.
Jen wore funky purple fairy wings to compliment her fairytale dress and Mark had some very unusual cufflinks made from the inner workings of vintage watches. The couple had a strong sense of the style of photographs they wanted and the weather was kind so we managed to get some lovely shots and I have to admit it was lovely to work in a more relaxed fashion, not having the usual hectic time pressures between ceremony end and wedding breakfast to cope with!
Great couple, great venue, great weather and great results!
