Emma and James opted to get married outside at the end of March at the beautiful Ardington House in Oxfordshire and wow was that the right decision!
Sometimes the weather in March/April can be somewhat unpredictable to say the least and whilst it could have poured with rain the reality was that the rain held off and it was warm and even sunny and the couple and their guests were able to enjoy the very magical and unique setting that is Ardington House in the very heart of the Oxfordshire countryside.
Emma wore a beautiful Suzanne Neville gown that was a mixture of the design Bliss and Manhattan and a beautiful Birdcage veil along with some stunning crystal jewelly. The groom James wore a french navy suit complete with name and date embriodered inside and Emma had bought him a beautiful new watch for the wedding day.
The couple actually had two bites of the confetti shot as when they were first walking back down the aisle they were showered with confetti and again when they crossed the bridge over the lake and walked between the two lines of guests!
Emma & James opted for a non- traditional wedding cake made of cheeses which they cut with a ceremonial sword just before their wedding breakfast.
26th March 2011 was also the grooms birthday so Emma had arranged a secret birthday cake for him which was brought out durning the speeches complete with flaming sparklers.
After the wedding breakfast the couple danced the night away to a cool soul band before they jetted off to Belize for their 3 weeks honeymoon.
Wonderful, special day made even more so by the kind weather and outside ceremony, here are some of my favourite images from their day……..
