Just found out that one of my Ashmolean wedding photography more avant-garde wedding images had been awarded a Highly Commended score in the March 2015 SWPP monthly International competition.

This was shot at The Ashmolean museum in Oxford in the amazing spacious Atrium they have there flooded with natural light. I asked the happy couple Matt & Xiao-Yin to lie on the floor with heads next to each other and have that all important eye contact I always aspire for in  my wedding images. The Ashmolean museum is an amazing place for a wedding. Surrounded by the rich collections and the magnificent architecture, choose from countless backdrops for your photographs, leaving you with unique and lasting memories of your day. I was lucky enough to do a bridal fashion shoot for local wedding dress boutique Ellie Sanderson Bridal Boutiques there a couple of years ago which gave me the idea for this image.
