Caswell House bride with her two flowergirl daughters

Why I love This Image | Caswell House Wedding

Caswell House bride with her two flowergirl daughters

This was a photograph taken very recently on 20th Feb 2016 at Rachel & Robs’ Caswell House Wedding near Brize Norton in Oxfordshire.

The wedding itself was really intimate with only about 20 family and close friends attending and this image was captured at the end of the bridal preparations just before Rachel went down to the ceremony. The two little flowergirls are her two daughters and I adore everything about this image and it was  simply a moment in time showing the bond between the three of them captured in a documentary wedding photography style.

This image works perfectly in black and white allowing the viewer to centre on the emotion of what is happening is that moment with no colours to distract from the beauty of it.

As soon as I pressed the shutter I know I had something special and shared it on my Facebook page where it went viral with 150 likes!

I subsequently entered it into the SWPP (Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers) monthly International photography competition in the category Wedding Photojournalism where it was awarded “Highly Commended”, everyone who I’ve shown this image to loves it and I hope you like it too, if you do please leave me a comment below as I love getting your feedback.
