A quaint but ever so elegant country church and a reception at Le Manoir, could a photographer dream of more? Helen and Simon’s spring wedding will remain in my memory as such a joyful day, and with two fantastic venue’s and a pair of Jimmy Choos what an amazing album of Le Manoir wedding photography this one will make!
Helen and Simon were married in St Lawerence’s Church in Toot Baldon, by non other than Helen’s mum, Reverend Janet Spicer. Reverend Spicer came out of semi retirement to marry the couple, what a fab family! The couple’s son was also too young to walk down the aisle, so Reverend Spicer carried him down the aisle before the bride with a ‘Here Comes Your Bride sign’ – if that doesn’t bring a collective ‘awww’ to the group I don’t know what would! On leaving the church bubbles were blown instead of confetti, what a lovely alternative.
The reception was then held at Le Manoir Aux Quat Saisions, this amazing and quintessential English hotel and cookery school, founded by the culinary genius Raymond Blanc, is the perfect Oxfordshire wedding venue, and not only because of the incredible cuisine… and trust me it is outstanding! The grounds of Le Manoir provided the perfect backdrop to capture some incredibly romantic moments between Helen and Simon. There are ponds, bridges, beautiful gardens, elegant sculptures and a stunning Japanese inspired tea house, the options are endless.
Some amazing and heartfelt speeches rounded off the wedding breakfast of delicious crab, sea bass and lamb…did I mention how good the food is?! Oh and not to mention one of the most sophisticated cupcake wedding cakes I think I have ever seen! The bride and groom ball and chain cake topper I think only added to this sophistication!!
An all round fantastic Oxfordshire wedding, that was an honour to be a part of, and wow do I love the fantastic Le Manoir wedding photography that I was able to capture for Helen and Simon.
