Georgina and Taishan celebrated their August wedding at the luxurious countryside venue VOCO Oxford Thames. It was an intimate celebration with close family and friends, filled with stylish touches and with a beautifully relaxed vibe. I had such a good time photographing their gorgeous day and am so happy I get to share these VOCO Oxford Thames Wedding photos with you.

The idyllic VOCO Oxford Thames Wedding venue
Georgina and Taishan originally had planned to get married at a different venue, but when they found VOCO Oxford Thames Wedding they instantly knew it was the wedding venue for them, offering – in Georgina’s words – “everything that we have envisioned for our wedding.”

It’s not hard to see why they fell in love with the place. The riverside setting, surrounded by 30 acres of gorgeous Oxfordshire countryside, is so quintessentially English – just perfect for their late August wedding. The Grade II 15th-century manor house hotel is a stylish mix of honey-coloured Cotswold stone exteriors and luxurious interiors. The overall vibe worked so well with the couple’s ‘classic but with plenty of personality’ big day.

Georgina’s elegant bridal style
Bride Georgina looked incredible in her Justin Alexander Freeland wedding dress. The satin A-line gown featured a plunging V-neckline and fitted waistband, creating a timeless silhouette. Paired with simple pearl drop earrings and bracelet, and a beautiful veil embroidered with their initials and wedding date, Georgina nailed sophisticated bridal style.

We have to take a minute for Taishan too, who looked very cool in his white tux and bow tie. And the couple’s two sons who absolutely stole the show in their mini three-piece suits and black and white Nikes.

The romantic garden pavilion ceremony
Making the most of the late August weather, Georgina and Taishan chose to exchange their vows at the venue’s outdoor garden pavilion. It was such a stunning setting for their intimate ceremony – we honesty felt like a million miles from anywhere else. The couple’s two boys made the sweetest ring bearers, each with their own personalised ‘Ring Security’ suitcase.

Saying their ‘I do’s in front of the floral arched pavilion, it really was a picture-perfect ceremony – I’m so glad the weather played ball!

The luxurious VOCO Oxford Thames Wedding reception styling
When I spoke to Georgina and Taishan they told me their vision for the wedding was “sophisticated and elegant; classic and classy”, and that’s exactly what they achieved. The venue was filled with fluffy white and cream roses, and tables were dressed with gold-edged hurricane vases, candles and small floral posies in glass vases. The three-tiered cake was contemporary take on a classic – very stylish.

I love the thoughtful touches, like the scratchcard favours, as well as crafting kits to keep the younger guests happy and occupied during the meal and speeches. The pick ‘n’ mix sweetie table was also, unsurprisingly, a huge hit!

Georgina and Taishan’s newlyweds shoot
One of the things I love about this Oxfordshire venue is the expansive grounds, which provided plenty of idyllic backdrops for our couple photographs. I snuck off with Georgina and Taishan while their guests enjoyed a glass of champagne, and we captured some beautiful shots together.

The unforgettable evening party
After the couple’s first dance the party really got started. The bride had a quick outfit change, swapping her full-length gown for a cute bridal mini dress and everyone hit the dancefloor. Georgina and Taishan also hired a 360-degree photobooth for the evening reception, which was busy all night long.

Georgina and Taishan’s wedding advice:
“Follow what you want to do! It’s your day and everyone will enjoy it regardless.”
