This Eynsham Hall wedding was definitely one to remember – have you ever seen a bride playing rounders on her wedding day? Neither had I until the lovely wedding of Hariney and Gareth, a fabulous meeting of cultures at the beautiful Eynsham Hall. Gareth and Hariney also had a bright and colourful Hindu ceremony which you can see here.
The venue
Built in the early 1700s Eynsham Hall is most definitely one of the grandest wedding venues in Oxfordshire. With it’s beautiful landscaped gardens, sweeping drive and stunning architecture, it is sure to take your guests breath away.
The dress
Hariney wore a gorgeous off the shoulder lace number, teamed with a flowing veil. Whilst her bridesmaids rocked mismatched lacy pink and blue dresses for a totally pinnable look! Gareth and the groomsmen went for black tie and looked very dapper I have to say.
The ceremony
The couple had hoped for an outdoor ceremony, and the glorious British weather actually held! The guests sat on the terrace and were serenaded by a Welsh male voice choir, all the way from Gareth’s home town. The choir most definitely brought a little bit of Wales to the Oxfordshire countryside that day.
After the ceremony, what else would a wedding party do but play rounders? The families took their sides, Wales vs Sri Lanka, and hilarity ensued as I’m sure you can imagine! Sri Lanka were the eventual winners, and I don’t think Hariney has ever let Gareth live it down!
The party
A very tasty meal followed and some loving speeches, and then the cherry on the cake – a surprise choreographed dance for Gareth led by Hariney. Hariney enlisted the help of the bridesmaids and the groomsmen and it was amazing, a perfect end to what was definitely one of the most fun weddings I have been lucky enough to be a small part of.
