Wedding of Anna & Mark, St James Church, Gerrards Cross, Bucks

When I saw the weather forecast for the wedding of Anna & Mark on 2nd April I packed my 5 white golfing  brollys which is always usually my way of guaranteeing no rain (there we go I’ve broken the curse now!!). Anna showed me a cardboard tube when I arrived at her house containing a few umbrellas and on the side was written all the dates of the families weddings, I’m not sure if it had rained at them all or not!! We shouldn’t have worried, the rains stayed away and the couple had a lovely day down in leafy Gerrards Cross, we even had some sunshine………….

The blue door at the front of the church really lent itself to be a great backdrop for some of the images. For the pre-wedding shoot we had gone into a local wood and it proved once again on the day to be a gorgeous backdrop with soft light and no harsh shadows for the signatures shots. The reception was held in the Memorial Centre in Gerrards Cross.

Anna had a beautiful hand-made shawl that had been made in India for her which gave a real sense of vintage style to her gown and as a special surprise to her groom Mark she had made a special birthday cake herself for him which was waiting at the reception dressed in spring pansies…………..here are a selection of shots from their wedding.
