It’s a lot of couples dreams to have a winter wedding and rather than the usual cold grey skies we get in the good old UK to wake up to something sunny and crisp. Well who would have thought that 6th December 2008 would have been one of the most gorgeous days of the year with cloudless blue skies, the stuff that winter wedding dreams are made of. The beautiful setting of Hampden House in the village of Great Hampden, Bucks and the church just a stones throw away fitted the day perfectly and was lovely venue for Wedding Photography.
Kathryn looked stunning in an Augusta Jones designer wedding gown from the fabulous Ellie Sanderson of Beaconsfield and handmade one off wedding shoes and Charlie dashing in his morning suit. I was due to fly out on my annual break to South Africa following this wedding so had not been decorating the house much or feeling very part of the Xmas celebrations but this day was so Christmassy with carol singers and a huge Xmas tree in the great hall it really made me feel it really was the season to be jolly!!
The getting ready shots were so much fun to make and just begged to be treated in black and white, with Kathryn’s hairstyle on the day I really think these shots could have been lifted out of a 1960’s photo shoot, I just love them!
The room that the wedding breakfast was in was stunningly decorated with vintage candle holders and looked breathtaking. Thanks to Kathryn & Charlie for putting up with the cold and for being such good sports meaning we could capture some stunning images.
