Wedding of Lucy & Kavan, Taplow House Hotel, Buckinghamshire, 23rd April 2011

I have shot many weddings over the past few years at the lovely Taplow House Hotel in Buckinghamshire and probably all but one have been really sunny!

Lucy and Kavan had to postpone their wedding twice due to ill health of the groom last year so it seemed ages since we had first met a couple of years ago but finally the date came in April on a beautiful spring day and the couple finally got to tie the knot.

Kavan runs/owns the cafe in Burnham Beeches forest which is where I met them for the pre-wedding shoot and has a very interesting sideline as a proper Ice Cream man complete with his own Ice Cream Van which he drove to the wedding all decked out in wedding ribbons playing the tune  ‘Oranges and Lemons’ at ear splitting volume!!!. You can be sure that all the little kids (and the big kids!!) all enjoyed freshly made ice cream during the evening reception.

Lucy wore a gown by Maggie Sottero and the stunning pink flowers her and the bridesmaids had were just amazing, the ceremony room was decked out to match. When it came to the wedding cake the ice cream theme played on with a cake surrounded by lookalike ice cream cones topped with look-a-like figures of Lucy & Kavan and the top table was named the only thing possible for an ice cream man…………… ‘Mr Whippy” of course

This wedding is being featured in the forthcoming issue of Your Berks & Bucks Wedding magazine which is out at the end of July so watch out for it!!

Here are a few of my own favourite images from the day……..
