The most perfect autumn day was in store for Maria & Drew when they were married on 25th October 2008 at St Josephs church in Bracknell and then onto their reception at Cantley House Hotel in rural Berkshire. Cantley House is a spacious 36 bedroom Victorian Country House Hotel set in acres of beautiful Berkshire Parkland. Formerly the home of the Marquis of Ormonde, the mansion was built in 1880 and originally converted with great care into a Hotel in 1983 so I was thrilled to be doing the wedding photography. Maria & Drew had quite a Scottish theme running through their wedding with a piper at the church and reception many of the male wedding party resplendent in MacDonald Tartan kilts (I obviously didn’t mention that I am marrying a Campbell decendant in September!!) and the evidence of beautiful Scottish thistles in the button-holes, the bridal bouquet, the table decorations and on the wedding cake. Maria wore a stunning Stephanie Allin gown “Sienna” in silk and we had great fun getting some great shots in the fallen red and golden autumn leaves. A really lovely wedding to shoot.
